A kanban board your agent keeps and you can watch
An agent halfway through ten jobs tells you where it stands by writing a paragraph. You then read the paragraph to find the three that are stuck, which is the one question a board answers without any reading.
Give a bullet the board layout and its children become columns and their children cards, so the agent moves a card by moving a bullet and you open the same board.
Set it up
- Point the client at https://pando.ink/mcp, which speaks streamable HTTP.
- Authenticate with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration, or paste a key from Agents and API keys as a Bearer token.

Done
The layout is one property on one bullet. Columns are its children and cards are theirs, so the board is stored nowhere but in the outline, and setting the layout back to bullet leaves the same branch as a plain list.
How the agent works it
- Moving a card is the move tool on one bullet, from one column to the next. There is no board API to learn.
- A card carries a note, so the reason a thing is blocked sits on the card and not in a chat you have to find again.
- You move a card yourself with Move left or Move right, and the agent reads the new column the next time it looks.
Keep the limit on Doing
The rule most boards skip is the limit on work in progress. Put it in the column’s name, Doing (max 2), and tell the agent to keep it. An agent that starts a third job before finishing two is doing what people do, and on a board you see it happen.
A board or a task list
A task list is enough when the only question is done or not done. Use a board when the states in between matter: waiting on you, blocked by something outside, ready for review.
