A reading list your agent fills, with a reason on every link
An agent researching with you turns up more worth reading than there is time for: an essay somebody cited, a changelog, the paper behind a claim. In a chat those links scroll away with the conversation, and a week later nobody remembers why one of them mattered.
Yes, when you ask it to: an agent connected to Pando writes each link as a bullet under a Reading list bullet in your outline, the title as the link and one line in the note on why it matters, and you read the list on your phone and tick or delete each one when you are done with it. Pando keeps the link and the reason, not the article.
Set it up
- Point the client at https://pando.ink/mcp, which speaks streamable HTTP.
- Authenticate with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration, or paste a key from Agents and API keys as a Bearer token.
Then make a bullet for the project, say Research, with a bullet called Reading list inside it. A connector you approve on Pando’s consent page starts with your whole outline. Choose Read and write your outline, or it cannot write in Reading list until you hold it to Research as below.
To hold it there, open Research, open Agents and API keys in Settings, tap the agent’s row under Your agents, and press Let it reach only “Research”, the bullet you are in. It then reads and writes Research and everything under it, even if you approved it to read only, and reaches nothing else. It also remembers there from then on, which is why the press goes on Research: its memories land beside the list, not in it.
An agent you create under Agents and API keys with “Let it read and write this outline” and “Give it a bullet of its own to remember in” both unticked reaches nothing until you give it a bullet, which the same press does. Its key begins with pf_ and goes in an Authorization: Bearer header.
What the list looks like
Reading list
- Why SQLite is enough for a side project
Answers the backup half of your question.
- Restoring from a replica, step by step
The restore test you wanted first.
- A field guide to database backups (ticked)
Each line is written as [Why SQLite is enough for a side project](https://…) and shows as the title, linked. Pando never fetches the page, so nothing checks that the address works or that the title fits it: a link the agent got wrong is found wrong when you open it. A note shows as one line under its bullet until you open it, so keep the reason short.
The prompt
When you find something worth my reading, add it under Reading list in Pando: one bullet per link, the line [title](address) with no [ or ] in the title, and the note one short sentence on why it matters to what I am working on. In the address, write ( as %28 and ) as %29. Only add a link you have opened in this conversation.
The bracket rules are there because a title ends at the first ] and an address at the first ), so a title like [PDF] Backups, or an address with (planet) in it, breaks the line.
Reading it on your phone
Pando runs in the phone’s browser at pando.ink/app. A link takes three taps: the first marks its bullet, the second brings up a bubble naming the site, and Open link in the bubble opens the page in a new browser tab.
When you have read one, swipe its bullet right to tick it: it is struck through and stays in the list unless you choose Show or hide completed. To delete it, swipe it left, press Bullet, then Delete, the red first row. The agent reads the same list, each ticked bullet marked done and each deleted one no longer in it.
Adding one yourself, by email
For a link you find on the phone, give Reading list an address: open its menu, choose Email into this bullet, and copy the address. The sheet says what happens: “Mail sent to this address arrives here: the subject becomes a bullet, the message becomes its note.” So put the link in the subject and the reason in the message. Anybody who has the address can write into this bullet, so treat it like a share link.
Where this is not the answer
- You want the article itself. Pando keeps the address and the words around it, not a copy of the page, so if the page changes or disappears, the link and your reason are all you have.
- A list that grows while you are away. Pando starts no agent, so an agent adds links only while it is working in a conversation that has the prompt.
- Links added from a phone app while you are out. No agent’s write into Pando from a phone app has been shown yet, and a report on OpenAI’s forum in November 2025 quoted the error ChatGPT’s phone app gave: “MCP write actions are currently disabled”. Email the link in yourself instead.
