An agent that works while you are asleep

Any MCP client and Pando, for work that happens while you are away.

The interesting agent runs are the long ones, and the long ones are the ones you are not sitting in front of. A nightly pass over a backlog, a scheduled research sweep, a job that fires when something else finishes.

Yes, if the notes are behind a hosted endpoint rather than a local bridge: the agent reaches pando.ink directly, so nothing of yours has to be running.

Set it up

  1. Point the client at https://pando.ink/mcp, which speaks streamable HTTP.
  2. Authenticate with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration, or paste a key from Agents and API keys as a Bearer token.

Why most note apps cannot do this

Checked on 22 September 2026: Workflowy ships an MCP server that runs inside its desktop app and says so on its own help page, so the app has to stay open. Anytype binds to 127.0.0.1. Tana Outliner to localhost:8262. Obsidian has no official server, and every community one we checked runs on a machine you keep switched on. None of those can be reached by something running on a schedule somewhere else, unless you keep a machine on and expose it yourself.

That is not a flaw in those products. A local server never sends your outline anywhere, which is a real thing to want. It is a trade, and this page is about the other side of it.

What you find in the morning

The work, in your outline. And, where the run hit something only you could decide, a task with the ask on the line and the reason in the note, which is still there whether you look at seven or at eleven.
