Meeting notes an assistant files where the work is
Every meeting tool now produces a transcript and a summary. Both are filed under the date of the meeting, and a week later nobody opens either, because nobody remembers which Tuesday it was.
File the decisions into the branch of the project they belong to, not into a document called Meeting Notes, because a decision filed under a date is a decision nobody finds.
Set it up
- On a computer, open ChatGPT on the web, then Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. The phone app cannot do this step.
- Go to Plugins, select +, and create one with https://pando.ink/mcp under Connection.
- Approve the connection when ChatGPT sends you back to Pando. After that, ChatGPT reaches Pando on your phone too.
What comes out of a meeting that is worth keeping
- Decisions, each one under the thing it decided about.
- Things somebody now owes, as a checkbox with a name on the line.
- Anything that changed a constraint the project is built on.
Not what was said. If you keep the transcript somewhere, fine, but the decisions have to leave it, or the meeting has produced a file rather than a change.
Paste the transcript and say where it goes
Give the assistant the transcript and the branch, and ask it for decisions only. It writes each one as a bullet under the part of the project it touches, with the reason in the note and the date it was decided. You read four lines instead of four pages.
Why the project branch and not a meetings folder
In six weeks you will be looking at the thing, not at the calendar. A decision that lives under the thing is found by looking at the thing. That is the entire argument and it holds for everything else a meeting produces.
